The company is one of the largest headwear manufacturers and wholesale distributors in the world.

Job Summary

  • The company is looking for an experienced HR Manager to establish and lead the human
  • resources function for a new company spinning off from them. This role offers
  • a unique opportunity to build HR operations from the ground up while ensuring
  • compliance with California employment laws and fostering a strong workplace culture.
  • The selected candidate will be hired and trained by the company in Brea, CA for the first 30 days,
  • then transition to the new company based in Anaheim, CA.

Job Description

  • - Establish HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to a new
  • organization
  • - Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training processes to build a strong and
  • effective team
  • - Ensure compliance with California employment laws and industry regulations
  • - Manage payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
  • - Work closely with leadership to develop HR strategies that support company
  • growth
  • - Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture in a multicultural
  • environment

Qualifications

  • -Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • -Minimum 5 years of HR experience with a strong understanding of California
  • employment laws
  • -HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
  • -Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • -Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • -Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, Workday).
