Job Summary

Job Description

  • - Be a key contributor to the development of LAI E&P assets
  • - Responsible for completion design, completion operations surveillance and completion effectiveness in order to make recommendations for future well locations and the continuous development of the assets
  • - Be a key contributor to screening/evaluating other unconventional plays that SK E&S may want to expand into through M&A
  • - Review daily operations reports, report any unplanned events, and communicate with partner engineers as necessary
  • - Attend weekly conference calls with partner
  • - Analyze historical completions and industry completion designs; be prepared to discuss with partner at technical meetings
  • - Work with team to develop correlations between geology, completion variables, and well performance
  • - Utilize frac modeling software to perform a post job review of the actual frac jobs pumped to evaluate frac effectiveness, drainage and well spacing
  • - Work with the team to evaluate parent/child performance and well spacings to determine future development well spacings
  • - Report technical findings through oral and written presentation to cross-technical disciplines and Sr. management
  • - Plan, schedule and compile annual work programs and provide cost estimates for overall Budgeting and Work Program reporting obligations
  • - Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • - Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities

Qualifications

  • - BS Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical) is required
  • - A minimum 10 years of E&P industry experience in conventional/unconventional resource plays
  • - A minimum 5 years’ experience in hydraulic fracture design and completion optimization of unconventional reservoirs
  • - Preferred working experience in Anadarko, Haynesville and Eagle Ford basins
  • - Field Operations experience required supervising completion operations including hydraulic fracturing
  • - Solid technical background on casing & tubing designs, completion equipment, cased hole logging/diagnostics, well servicing with wireline and coiled tubing.
  • - Expert using fracture modeling software (e.g. Gopher, StimPlan, ResFrac or similiar)
  • - Experience in decline curve analysis (DCA), rate transient analysis (RTA) and using Spotfire and Enverus
  • - Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with individuals and groups from different disciplines and countries
  • - Skillfully and diplomatically manage potentially contentious situations
  • - Ability to work well in a small team environment
