Job Summary

  • The Project Manager manages and expedites the flow of work and labor processing within the company
  • projects. The duties include planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely
  • fashion and within the company’s budget. Most of their time is spent on business and organizational
  • aspects of project operations. This role will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets,
  • monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. All is done within the confines of the
  • company’s goals and vision. Additionally, this position will provide leadership direction in project
  • administration. These duties include staying within the budget, retrieving the necessary permits to
  • construct in certain communities and communicating the client’s goals for certain projects to the
  • subcontractors and construction workers. This may include facilities, expansion project, municipal
  • liaison (City/County and State) projects.

Job Description

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient
  • manner.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy,
  • adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected
  • deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, city, and fire department officials and other workers on
  • new & ongoing construction projects.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables.
  • Identify subcontractors and materials as needed, negotiate pricing and timeline.
  • Delegate subcontractors and their responsibilities.
  • Assist in any delays, emergencies, and problems that arise.
  • Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements.
  • Report project progress and budget to President.
  • Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner, providing a high level of
  • customer service.
  • Assist in completing/training on building electrical where able.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, auto parts manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing or processing company experience required.
  • Bilingual Korean/English required, Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.
  • Team player with high energy and a can-do attitude.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlines scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to quickly recognize errors and inconsistencies in numerical data (good analysis skills).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to establish
  • reports.
  • Excellent supervisory skills and communication skills essential.

Physical Requirements and Demands

  • Work is considered low physical work in an office and production setting, requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform low physical work indoors with minimum exposure to dust.
  • Must be able to:
  • - Walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • - Regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
  • - Will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers or standing for hours at a time.
  • - Some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
  • - Demonstrate the ability to hear and have specific vision abilities to adjust focus, in an environment subject to noise, dust, etc.
  • - Perform all work safely in a fast-paced work environment.
  • - The incumbent is located in a quiet office area and is faced with constant phone interactions and will be in contact with other staff.
