Job Summary

• General Purpose
• With minimal supervision, purchase items, materials or services of a technical nature customized to company specification and delivery requirements. Expedite work, vendors, and may locate/promote new vendor sources.

Job Description

• Major Responsibilities
• ? Purchase and expedite for timely delivery of material parts and services as required.
• ? Vendor selection may include visiting vendor facilities.
• ? Confer with other departments as needed for technical assistance in resolving purchasing issues.
• ? Evaluate invoice charges as required.
• ? Coordinate purchasing related activities involving routing, shipping and receiving of parts and
• materials.
• ? Maintain appropriate records including encumbrance and company owned tooling stored or used
• by vendors.
• Knowledge and Skills Desired
• ? Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or equivalent education is required.
• ? Proficient/Advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP)
• ? 1-3 years’ experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company.
• ? Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• ? Understanding SOX requirements and internal controls
• ? Strong attention to detail
• ? Consistently able to meet reporting deadlines
• ? Ability to problem solve and work independently
• ? Strict work ethic
• ? Strong leadership skills
• ? Language skill is most preferred, communicating with customers
