Job Summary

  • Technology Planning management is a set of management disciplines that allows organizations to manage their technological fundamentals for improving quality / productivity and sustainability of EV battery production through high level of technical knowledge. In addition, analysis tasks such as yield improvement through defect analysis are performed, and KPI performance management and standards are established/managed.
  • So Technology Planning manager should understand whole process of EV battery production and product development process. And they are primarily responsible for guiding and managing other subordinates within the department and evaluating their performance. This person must should possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills within their field. This position typically requires decision-making, team-building, and leadership abilities. The manager must have effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization to communicate and resolve process issues in a timely manner. And the person need to report about their group’s working result and issues by written or verbal. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following. Specifically, the manager should let their members monitor particle level in the battery line and product. Furthermore, This person should monitor the result of Vision inspection by subordinators in the group. And should supervise employees to validate products and disassemble products to analyze reason of defect. If there are a number of interlocked(hold) cells because of defects or "abnormality", the person should make subordinates analyze to decrease the number of cells.

Job Description

  • ? Training for subordinators.
  • ? Organization, control, and supervision of subordinates.
  • ? Defect analysis through cell disassembling.
  • ? Managing change point and new model development task.
  • ? Standards and system management.
  • ? Improving the performance of the vision inspection system through the improvement of false and overcheck defects
  • ? Leading the investigation and cause analysis of defects. Implementation of all possible measures and continuous monitoring to solve issues.
  • ? Review and update product specifications, process standards, manuals, and learning activities.
  • ? Continue to contact and cooperate with development, technology, and quality departments to meet customer needs.
  • ? Continuous activities to optimize process systems and improve efficiency.
  • ? Create a report to provide up-to-date information on the process to your immediate superiors or related departments.
  • ? If there is a defect that can be an issue, take immediate action and write an 'abnormal occurrence' report that includes analysis of the phenomenon.
  • ? Monitoring production processes, supporting production and improving production efficiency based on key parameters.
  • ? Continuous KPI monitoring and management to achieve the goal of STARPLUS.
  • ? Tasks requested by superiors for continuous production.
  • ? Quality assurance, EHS obligations and responsibilities.
  • ? Keep the work area well organized and clean. Compliance with safety rules for work tools. Appropriate use of personal safety equipment.

Qualifications

  • ? Bachelor's degree in chemistry/chemical engineering, material/metal, fiber/polymer, machinery, electrical/electronic (H/W), industrial engineering, mathematics, physics, and relevant experience.
  • ? Minimum of 8 years of industrial automation and controls experience with strong foundation in project management.
  • ? Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • ? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
  • ? Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • ? Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability
  • ? Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
  • ? Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office And Ability to work overtime as required
  • PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • ? Bilingual English / Korean
  • ? Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Industrial or Material Engineering
  • ? Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • ? Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
  • ? Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • ? Experience with or knowledge of large production lines, PFMEAs, and process controls is a plus.
  • ? Knowledge of Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Bottleneck Analysis.
  • ? Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
  • ? Critical thinking and an analytical mindset.
  • ? Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal.
