About Our Client

Our client is a publicly listed global refiner of non-ferrous metals with revenues of approximately 10 billion USD and operating profit of one billion USD, rapidly expanding through M&A. We are searching for intelligent and committed professionals to join the US leadership in starting up the office in NYC. The New York office will be Korea Zinc’s US holdings company for the purpose of US and other international acquisitions and investments.

Job Summary

  • Identifying and assessing investment opportunities in the materials recycling industry and beyond as well as across capital structures;
  • Conducting deal evaluation, due diligence, company analysis and financial modelling in support of the New York leadership;
  • Keeping an eye on market trends and tracking existing assets to support investment decisions;

Job Description

Constantly developing our industry knowledge base including changes in government regulations Connecting with relevant companies and partners with the aim of furthering Korea Zinc’s investment interests in the US and international stage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record
  • One to two years of working experience, preferably in a finance, accounting, consulting, or corporate development role;
  • Ability to insightfully assess company performance and potential as well as a firm handle on financial statements;
  • Ability to extract relevant and valuable information from platforms at hand and present it in a way that is meaningful and influential towards investment decision-making;
  • Strong motivation to cultivate relationships with partners and intermediaries;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactiveness and the ability to manage multiple priorities and to work through ambiguities.
